Your Eco recently delivered Phase 1 of a technically ambitious solar PV project for EMCOR, installing a 135kW rooftop array across three GlaxoSmithKline corporate sites.
The project demanded intricate coordination, with works spanning multiple buildings—including a full roof replacement to guarantee the long-term integrity of future installations. Throughout, our team championed efficiency and safety, from meticulously labelling every tool to strategically replacing outdated equipment and implementing daily wind speed monitoring. We enforced compliant lifting methods and conducted comprehensive site inductions and daily toolbox talks, embedding a zero-incident safety culture at every turn. Successfully navigating a rigorous PLC-level audit, we balanced the operational needs of facility managers with GSK’s exacting Health & Safety standards—delivering on time, to specification, and with the kind of collaborative planning and attention to detail that sets Your Eco apart in the commercial renewables sector.
Project Highlights
Spanning three GSK sites, this 135 kW rooftop solar PV system combines 99 bi-facial 450 Wp all-black DMEGC panels with 210 all-black QCELLS panels, securely mounted using the Sunfixings flat-roof system for robust, long-lasting performance. Powered by two 50 kW and one 33 kW SolarEdge inverters, and optimised with 164 SolarEdge S1000 units, the installation is designed for maximum efficiency and reliability. With an annual generation of 129 MWh, the system offsets an impressive 807 tonnes of CO₂ each year—the equivalent of planting 22,626 trees. A 30-year linear performance warranty on the modules ensures long-term peace of mind.
