In the heart of the Carribean, Your Eco partnered with the British Virgin Islands Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) to spearhead a transformative solar energy project in the heart of the Caribbean. This flagship initiative marks a significant step towards a sustainable future for the British Virgin Islands, aiming to integrate over 3 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity across multiple phases.
The successful implementation of this initial phase sets a strong precedent for the subsequent stages of the 3 MW+ solar rollout. By leveraging cutting-edge solar technology and fostering strong partnerships, Your Eco and BVIEC are collectively paving the way for a cleaner, more resilient, and sustainable energy future for the British Virgin Islands, bolstering energy security and contributing to global climate action.

2 x 56.76kW SolarEdge rooftop inverters: High-performance efficiency, with robust energy conversion ratios (up to 113%) and designed for reliability in demanding environments
153 X S1000 SolarEdge optimisers: 25-year warranties, enabling panel-level optimisation and maintaining consistent low-voltage operations for enhanced safety and system resilience
Annual Generation: 190.86 MWh of renewable electricity
CO₂ Emissions Saved: 74.82 tonnes per year
Equivalent to: Planting 3,436 trees annually
The inaugural phase of this ambitious rollout has culminated in the successful installation of a nearly 300 kW rooftop solar PV system at the BVIEC Stores site. This strategic location was chosen for its critical role in supporting the region's essential infrastructure, including vital cold chain resilience. The clean energy generated by this installation directly contributes to the operational stability of these crucial services, mitigating the risks associated with traditional power sources and fostering greater energy independence.
This initial project at BVIEC Stores is one of the first two installations Your Eco is delivering for the national grid operator as part of a comprehensive strategy to decarbonise the islands’ energy mix. The partnership underscores a shared commitment to reducing reliance on fossil fuels, lowering carbon emissions, and building a more environmentally sound and economically resilient energy system for the British Virgin Islands.
