SOMERSET, UK, 11 May 2023 -- Your Eco, a leading UK renewable energy project developer and installation company based in Frome, Somerset, U.K., today announced that it has been certified as a B Corporation™ (B Corp™), furthering the Company’s commitment toward operating its business as a force for good, while delivering projects which help their clients reach their own net zero goals in carbon reduction.

The B Corp verification process administered by the nonprofit, B Lab, measures a company’s social and environmental performance. To become a Certified B Corporation, companies undergo a rigorous review of the impact of their operations and business model on their workers, customers, communities and environment, and must meet a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment.

“We’ve always been on a mission to create more equitable access to clean energy in an ethical and responsible way,” said Nick Spicer, Founder & Co-CEO of Your Eco. “Joining a network of like-minded organisations will create collective impact to making sure business is a force for good. We are honoured to receive this distinction and become part of the B Corp community.”

At its core, Your Eco upholds the mantra of People, Planet, Profit and seeks to use our expertise to deliver clean energy solutions that harmonise the triple bottom line. If we're not here in the UK installing solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems to support the transition to clean energy, then we are working internationally delivering social impact on sustainable development projects.

Nick continues, “Your Eco goes further in committing 1.5% of all its project values to ensure that our physical #solar installations and the associated supply chain and logistics are also carbon neutral. We work within an agroforestry model with Reduce Our Carbon Charitable Foundation using fruit trees to bring economic impact to our beneficiaries, whilst also delivering smokeless stoves to enable better health, all in line with the United Nations sustainable development goals, and reducing carbon.”

Your Eco is joining a network of 6,000 B Corps in 80 countries and 150 industries worldwide.
